Program Overview

About the Program: Become a Certified Instructor of Korean Traditional Culture. Learn Korea’s National Intangible Heritage through hands-on experience and develop the skills to introduce Korean traditional culture to people around the world.

1) Understanding Korean Intangible Heritage: Learn about Korea’s National Intangible Heritage system and its cultural significance, while exploring the global value of Korean traditional culture and the role of cultural experience instructors.
2) Hands-on Training with Traditional Culture Experience Kits: Participants will receive intensive training using selected kits from a collection of 16 traditional culture experience kits developed for international audiences interested in Korean culture and the Korean Wave (Hallyu). The program focuses on three fields: Maedeupjang (Traditional Knot Making), Dancheongjang (Traditional Decorative Painting), and Hwagakjang (Ox-horn Inlay Craft).
3) Instructor Training: Participants will learn not only how to make traditional crafts, but also how to teach them through Korean and English teaching-script development, participant communication, teaching demonstrations, role-playing, small-group practice, and peer feedback.
4) Opportunities After Completion: Participants who successfully complete the program and meet certification requirements may be registered as Certified Instructors on the designated instructor platform. This provides opportunities to connect with organizations and participants globally.
